Faithful Friends Nursing Home Ministry
A thorough web site with many resources on getting involved in nursing home ministry. They describe themselves as "a Christian Ministry providing encouragement and support for those caring for the elderly and the infirm in nursing and convalescent homes, and assisted living facilities."

Locally operated all over the United States, Hospice provides care and helps families facing the terminal illness of a loved one.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
Ombudsmen are advocates, educators, and listeners. Anyone can call them with a question or complaint about nursing home care, and they will listen and investigate. They also educate the public about the rights of residents in long-term care facilities.
