Bus Trip to the Matheson Museum

On June 10th we went on an exciting bus trip to The Matheson Museum on East University Avenue. Eleven nursing home residents in wheelchairs rode on the bus with us. Our first stop was the Matheson House – the 2nd oldest house in Gainesville. After touring the house, we made our way over to the museum and enjoyed the displays of historical items from Gainesville and Alachua County, as well as an old-fashioned “General Store” just as it would have appeared in the late 1800s.
