New Volunteers & Coordinators:

We have been deluged with new volunteers! Gainesville Health Care Center new people are: Holly Mann, John Mallow, and Leslie Pelakh. They all either have experience in the medical field or are headed to medical school! New volunteers at Signature Healthcare are Maria Gaffud, and Shannon Patterson. We are excited and happy you are all here.

 

Congratulations to Oona Takano & Kristi Roehm for completing their 12 week orientation periods!

 

We also have 2 new coordinators: Anna Kim at GHCC and Priyanka Jagtap at Park Meadows. We greatly appreciate their stepping up to those roles. Look for for information about them in our next issue of The Bridge.

 

 

ADDITIONAL EVENTS IN JUNE

 

Thursday, June 9th, 1:30-2:30 PM - “Storytellers’ Society” at Parklands: These group gatherings are a wonderful way to share, reminisce, and truly get to know the residents at Parklands Nursing and Rehab.

Thursday, June 16th ,1:30-2:30 PM “Casino Time” at Parklands. A monthly event, by popular demand, Steve visits to deal Blackjack and poker for the residents, who play for prizes. He can always use some extra dealers, so let us know if you’d like to come join the fun!                                                   

Thursday, June 30th, 2:30-3:30 PM - "Birthday Celebration" at Parklands: Help us wish a happy birthday to all residents of Parklands Nursing and Rehab with birthdays in May. Meet us in the dining room where we will have singing and cake. Volunteers are needed to help gather the residents together, serve the cake, sing, clean up, etc.  Do you play an instrument or have some other talent?  We are always looking for new entertainment for the party – let us know!
