The annual Friends Across the Ages Holiday Party is just one week away!  It will be held Sunday, December 8th from 2:00-4:00pm at North Florida Rehab and Specialty Care Center (6700 NW 10th Place, Gainesville).  This annual event has become a long standing tradition with our organization.  We start with some caroling with the residents of NFRSC in the dining room, and then proceed to the conference room for holiday treats, volunteer recognitions, and holiday visiting time with one another.  All volunteers, supporters, friends and family are welcome!

If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to so we can plan to have enough food for everyone!  Directions can be found on our website:  --just scroll down till you see North Florida Rehab and Specialty Care.  We hope to see you there!

We are currently in the process of putting together our holiday mailer, with our winter edition of our newsletter, The Bridge.  If you have moved in the past year, or have other updates to your contact information, please let us know as soon as possible!  Send any updates to   And watch your mailbox in a couple of weeks!

We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Vi Asmuth for her excellent presentation on “Attitudes about Aging and Interpersonal Communication” last month. Thank you also to all those who attended! This was the last installment of our Speaker Series in 2013. Look for more in 2014!
