SAVE THE DATE!

FRIENDS ACROSS THE AGES
SPRING FESTIVAL (March 18th-March 24th)

and

VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PARTY (March 25th)

Our annual Spring Festival is coming up very soon! The festival will be held the week of March 18th- 24th, with events at the various nursing homes we serve throughout the week. These events are a great opportunity for those who have been interested in volunteering at a nursing home and want to get their feet wet. It is also a great chance for our regular volunteers to come check out another facility and perhaps meet some volunteers that you don’t normally see.

We will conclude the festival with our annual Spring Volunteer Appreciation Party to be held the afternoon of Sunday, March 25th. The party is always a special time, with food, music, and special recognitions for volunteers. All members and supporters of Friends, plus family, friends, and anyone else who is interested are welcome and encouraged to attend this celebration, which is our biggest event of the year. All are welcome at any of the events of the Spring Festival as well.

Watch our March “Nursing Home News” for a schedule and full details about all of the events!

FEBRUARY SPECIAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES

Each month, in addition to groups that meet weekly for regular volunteering/visitation, Friends Across the Ages sponsors a few special events and activities at various nursing homes. These events require no ongoing commitment, though we do ask you to let us know ahead of time if you plan to attend any of these events so that we can be on the lookout for you. If you would like more information about our weekly visitation groups and becoming a regular Friends Across the Ages volunteer, please let us know that as well. Here are our special events for February:

Wednesday, February 8th, 10:30-11:30 AM – Memorial Service at Parklands – The volunteer group at Parklands Nursing and Rehab will be holding a special memorial service during our usual time for a few of our resident friends who have passed away recently.
